National Academic Depository (NAD) is born out of an initiative by MHRD to provide a 24X7 online depository to Academic institutions to store and publish their academic awards. The digital depository not only ensures easy access to and retrieval of an academic award but also validates and guarantees its authenticity and safe storage.

Students may access their degree/diploma certificates and marksheets via DigiLocker. In order to do so, they should register on DigiLocker.
Students may register on the ABC portal to verify the availability of credits in their ABC account. Upon registration, an ABC ID will be created, which must be submitted to academic institutions so that credits may be sent into their respective ABC accounts.
Aimed at the concept of paperless governance. It reduces the administrative overhead by minimizing the use of paper and curtailing the verification process. It is permanent and safe record keeping for all institutions. Students can access and transfer their awards easily. It also avoids the risk of forged certificates.

Alumni of Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, Mumbai. Now you have quick access to your degree certificates for the academic year 2021 through DigiLocker.
Alumni may now readily retrieve their Degree Certificates for the years 2017 to 2020 through DigiLocker.
National Law University, Delhi a prestigious University, has uploaded it's academic awards Degree Certificates for the years 2021 and 2022 of LLB course to DigiLocker NAD.
National Law University, Jodhpur Degree Certificates for the years 2016 to 2019 are now easily available through DigiLocker NAD.
University has published Mark sheets for the years 2019 and 2020.
The students of the St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata can now download their degree / mark-sheets digitally through their DigiLocker account as the University has published their results through NAD.
Veer Kuwar Singh University is all set to publish its awards in Digital format for its affiliated and constituent colleges. The University administration has begun the preparation to integrate with DigiLocker-NAD. Students would be able to access their issued marksheets & certificates with one click through the DigiLocker app.

Indian Institute of Technology Patna is one of the new IITs established by an act of parliament on August 06, 2008. This institute of national importance with state of the art infrastructure has now joined hands with DigiLocker NAD to issue digital Academic awards to its students.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, one of the top Institutions of Eminence in the country recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India is now on DigiLocker NAD. The institute has published marksheets from the year 2019 to 2021.
Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) has published all the degrees of undergraduate,
postgraduate programmes of session 2016-17 and session 2017-18 on NAD
Portal.
The central university wishes to play a pioneering role in the
digital campaign with an aim of providing ease of access, authenticity and
privacy which is ensured by DigiLocker NAD. Digital educational awards can also
be shared effortlessly. JMI management has advised students to register with
DigiLocker portal in order to view their academic awards.

Following the lead of University of Delhi, Mumbai University and Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University have become new issuers of academic awards on DigiLocker through NAD.
Now the students of Gujarat National Law University can get their degree awards on DigiLocker for the year 2019.
National University of Advanced Legal Studies(NUALS), Kochi is the first national law university of the country which is issuing Digital Awards to its students through DigiLocker.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has joined IIM Ranchi and IIT (BHU), Varanasi, among eight other Institutions of National Importance, in using NAD service to issue awards digitally.
A total of 34 higher-educational institutions from the state of Karnataka are live on NAD, the latest being Visvesvaraya Technological University.
